SBI PO Eligibility Requirements
- As of April 1, 2024, candidates must be at least 21 years old and no older than 30. Accordingly, candidates must have been born on or before April 2, 1994, and no later than April 1, 2003 (inclusive).
- Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university with a degree in any field.
- Applications are also accepted from students who are in their last year or semester of graduation. They must provide documentation that they passed the graduation exam by April 30, 2025, at the latest, if they are invited for the interview.
- Applicants who hold certificates for an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) should make sure that their IDD passing date falls on or before April 30, 2025.
- Professional credentials like cost accounting, engineering, medicine, and chartered accounting are also accepted.

Changes in SBI PO in 2025
From this year onwards, the State Bank of India (SBI) has implemented major changes and the same has been notified via SBI PO Notification. The following changes have been observed :-
- The initial basic pay has been increased to Rs 48,480/- and the per month in-hand wage ranges between Rs. 84000 to 85000.
- There will be sectional cut-off in mains examinations.
- In prelims, the number of questions of English section has been increased to 40 and for Reasonng and Quantitative reduced to 30.
- In mains, the number of objective-type questions has been increased to 170 which was eaelier 150 and for descriptive test number of questions is not mentioned.
SBI PO Salary Details
- As per the notification, the starting basic pay of a Probationary Officer (PO) is Rs 48,480/-(with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 Applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale – I.
- The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. The approx CTC at initial scale of at Mumbai Center is 18.67 Lacs.
