SSI will not release payment in these months
There are two months in 2025 where authority will not provide SSI payments in the starting of the month. The September and November 2025 are these months where individuals will not get their SSI payments. The reason behind this schedule is that
The first day of September is falling on the holiday so the payment will be released earlier in August 28 accordingly and the payment for the first November is also schedule on 31 october due to the weekend on the first November. So however the payment schedule is showing that September and November are not providing the payment but you will get your payment earlier accordingly.
No payment on first day of the month
According to the SSA, payment of the SSI beneficiaries is released on the first day of the month, but there are total 6 months in 2025 where applicants will not able to claim their payment on the first day of the month. These months are January, February, March, June, September and November.
So applicants who are waiting for their January payment in 2025 will not able to see the new credits in the bank on the day one of January. This is because all the above months’ first day is falling on holiday or weekends where banks and SSA will remain close, so the authority will release their payment in the last day of the earlier month. For example January 2025 payment will be released on 31 December 2024.

Double payments in 2025
By following are same procedure there are few months where individuals will see double payments in their bank account for SSI benefits. These months are May, August, October and December 2025. Where the first day of these months are scheduled for the regular payments of the SSI for the specific month and the second payment of SSI his scheduled on the last working day of the month Because the following month’s first day Will fall on holiday.
For example The first day of the October is scheduled for the SSI payment for October 2025. Since the First day of November is falling on Saturday, so the payment will be released earlier on the last working day of October on the 31st.
2.5% hike in SSI payments
The social security administration has already informed that eligible beneficiaries will get their payment of 2025 with 2.5% COLA hike. According to the official statement by the SSA, individual applicants will get the maximum payment of $967 per month and If the couple are applying for the benefits then they will get the maximum payment of $1,450.
However it will be calculated according to the monthly income of the applicant, family structure and other financial expenses. So if any an individual is exceeding the income limits or assets limit then the authority will automatically reduce this payment and adjust it with the current financial condition of the appcslicant.
