PM Vishwakarma Scheme: Pradhanmantri Vishwakarma Yojana is hte Central Government sponsored program where eligible artists are getting support from the government including the advanced training in their field, training to build business studies, financial assistance to purchase a Toolkit, loan facilities to scale up the business etc. The program was started on 17 September 2023 and More than 2.63 crore candidates have submitted the application form for PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana benefits

The center government has started Pradhanmantri Vishva Karma Yojana on 17 September 2023 to Expand opportunities to the Craft person for different arts including Gold Smith, carpenter, Black Smith, hammer and toolkit maker, Cobbler, Barber, tailor, etc. The program is very beneficial for them as it provides the following benefits to the applicants:

• Government recognition: The government provides an official recognition to the participant who apply for the program and complete all the scheduled activities and training sections so they can use the Vishwakarma certificate and Vishwakarma ID card to authenticate their specification and recognition with the government.
• Skill training program: The authority provides 5 days to 7 days skill training to the applicants regarding the specific sector where they are working. If the candidate want to pursue advance training then they can also enroll in 15 days advance training program accordingly.
• Financial assistance in training program: The government will issue 500 rupees per day as a stipend for training to all the trainers who participate in 5 days to 15 days or other training programs accordingly.
• Toolkit support: Eligible candidates who completed training will get 15000 one time payment to purchase specific equipment and tools for their handicraft work which they learnt in the advanced training session. So it by enable them to use advance equipments and customize the toolkit accordingly.
• Loan facilities: The Vishwakarma loan is also offered by the government to the needed individuals who want to get up to 1 lakh loan where the bank will provide them a Vishwakarma loan for 18 months. Once you complete the loan repayments you will eligible to get apply for extra 2 lakh loan accordingly for next 30 months. Apart from this beneficiaries will also get a 5% subsidy on the loan interest from the government.
• Help in business: The government will support to the applicants to grow their business through online platform and other trade fairs scheduled at different locations throughout the country, so they can showcase their handicraft items and get clients accordingly.

Eligibility for Vishwakarma application form 

The following candidates are eligible to apply in Pradhanmantri Vishwakarma application form:

• Only Indians are eligible to apply for the Vishwakarma program
• The minimum age of the applicants should be at least 18 years old while applying for the program
• The government has listed 18 occupations and traditional trades where individuals can apply one of them accordingly for the program. the list of the traditional trades for the program are following:
  • Carpenter, boatmaker
  •  gold Smith
  •  black Smith
  •  Rajmistri
  • Armourer
  • Black Smith
  •  hammer and tool kit maker
  •  Locksmith
  •  Murtikar
  •  stone breaker
  •  Kumhaar
  • Cobbler
  •  footwear artist
  • The artist who is making basket, made, room maker, coir, traditional toys etc
  • Barber
  • Graland maker ( Malakar)
  • Washerman
  •  Trailer
  •  fishing net maker
• You can check the above list of the trades and can apply for the program only if you are doing these trades through traditional way and getting the skill from your family in a chain and should be only self employed to apply for the program.
• The government is already providing facilities to scale the business and traditional trades in the country through multiple programs, so before applying the program you are required to complete your all the pending loans and other payments accordingly from other programs
• Only one member of the family is eligible to apply for the program where the family is described as husband wife and their unmarried children
• Individuals whose family members are working in Centre or state government are not eligible for the benefit of the program.

Apply for Vishwakarma Yojana in 2025 

The government is accepting online application form for the Vishwakarma Yojana in 2025, however the program is totally online but you need to apply with the help of government approved CSC centre by following this procedure:

• Firstly you need to visit on the official website of the Vishwakarma Yojana by clicking on this link https://pmvishwakarma.gov.in/ 

• After that you will reach on the new page where you have to Click on the login section and after that select the CSC login link.

• Now candidates will need to provide the basic detail in the application form after login on the portal including the Aadhar number of the applicant, Mobile number and family details where you will receive OTP for verification for each accordingly. 
• Once you provide your basic details You will be asked to enter handicraft arts details in the application form and upload relevant documents accordingly

After that you can check all the details and click on the submit link, so the authority will approve your application accordingly.

Once you complete the application you will get the training schedule and training centre details where you need to the reach at the destination to complete the training so after that will able to download the certificate by login on the dashboard of quarterly and will able to apply for Vishwakarma loan accordingly.
