Goals of the Racial Justice Program

• Reimagining organizations, movements, and systems to advance racial and economic equity for all is the main goal of the Racial Justice Program.
• The program fosters collaboration among faculty, fellows, students, and the larger University community while fortifying the conversation linking domestic civil rights to international human rights frameworks.
• In order to create a research project that is relevant to their own areas of expertise and the Centres research priorities, we aim to draw in a diverse group of fellows from various fields and industries, including academia, business, technology, civil society, human rights organizations, public interest technologists, and independent researchers and practitioners.
• Fellows are required to take part in recurring Zoom calls with Carr Center faculty and other experts and are encouraged to work together.
•  The Carr Center will publish and promote fellows papers, and more applied or practical projects will be shown to a variety of experts who will provide comments and suggestions for improvement.

• Human rights advocates, post-doctoral researchers, scholars, sabbatical academics, heads of human rights organizations, and senior executives in multinational corporations are among the fellows.

• Scholars and practitioners who align their research and practice with the Center’s priorities are welcome, regardless of their level of experience.

• For the academic session 2025-26, Racial Justice Fellows will receive a fellowship stipend of $10,000.
