OSSTET Notification 2024-25

Odisha Secondary School teacher eligibility test- OSSTET is the primary eligibility to become a TGT teacher in the state. Eligible graduate candidates having educational certification and diploma can apply for this eligibility test. Application procedure has started from 19th November and the deadline to submit application form is also gone. Candidates were required to pay the online application fees before 30 November. The application have to be submitted through online mode on the official website of board of Secondary Education of Odisha. After that candidates will able to appear in the OSSTET test based on OMR sheet.

OSSTET Admit Card Download

The official link to download the OSS TET Admit Card will be activated soon by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on http://www.bseodisha.ac.in/. All candidates who are going to appear in the OSSTET Exam must have a hard copy of their admit cards to enter the examination hall. OSSTET Exam Pattern 

The authority will conduct OMR based paper for the OSSTET. There will be 150 questions in the OSSTET Exam where each question will carry one mark. Candidates are required to select the correct option answer among multiple options from each question. 

The question paper will be divided into 4 sections according to the points:

• Section 1 for English language 20 question will be asked.
• Section 2 for Odia language where 20 questions will be asked .
• Section 3 will be subject specific section where candidate will see 60 questions related to the subject where they have applied.
• The Section 4 will carry 50 marks and 50 questions where child development and pedagogy – CDP related questions will be asked.

Section 1, section 2 and 4 are required to all candidates. However section 3 will be prepared according to the subject of the applicant where they are going to apply.

Candidate should mark the following important dates for the Odisha Secondary School teacher eligibility test which will help to complete the application before deadline:

Eligibility criteria for OSSTET Exam

• The applicant should be citizen of India.
• Applicants should be comfortable writing and reading Odia language.
• The applicant should either studied in Board of Secondary Education Odisha till 10th class or should have studied Odia language in 12th class.
• The applicant should complete graduation in any stream where they need to study the specific subject as a main discipline such as Science/ Arts, Hindi/ Classical Teacher (Sanskrit/ Urdu/ Telgu).
• The applicant is required to complete B.Ed course from any recognised University for institute with NCTE.
• If you are applying for physical  education teacher then it is important to complete 12th class along with C.P.Ed./ D.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./ M.P.Ed. From a recognized Board/University. 
• Candidates are required to pay 600 rupees online application fees. however candidates belong to SC ST category have to pay 400 rupees through online mode.
