SASSA Grants Payments December 2024

The child support Grant is providers according to the number of children in the family where individuals are getting R530 per child per month.
- Care Dependency Grant: This grant is for individuals who require full-time care due to a severe disability. It provides financial support to help cover the costs of their care. R2,190 per month is Released in this program.
- Grant-in-Aid: This grant is for individuals who are already receiving another social grant but require additional financial support due to a severe disability. It provides extra assistance to help meet their specific needs.
- Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant: This is a temporary grant that was introduced to provide financial assistance to individuals who lost their income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However it can be started again according to the difficult conditions in the country. The department release R370 per month Grant during the covid 19, however if the authority revise it in 2025 then the amount may also be increased accordingly.

The December is scheduled to provide benefits of the three programs of SASSA including Older persons grant, disability Grant and children grant. What to do if not receive the SASSA payments?
Since the authority has already released December payouts of the SASSA programs in bank account. But if you do not receive the SASSA payment yet then you need to wait for at least three business days to get your SASSA payment in the account. After that you need to Check the status of your bank account, and if the payment don’t reflect yet, then should immediately contact to the SASSA branch so they will sort out your issue accordingly.
