Steps to check CUET score 2025
Candidates are suggested to follow the five steps mentioned in this section to check the expected score of CUET exam 2025. where you have firstly required to appear in the examination and should also have your question paper. After date can follow these steps:
Step 1: Attempted questions
National testing agency conduct CUET exam for online as well as offline mode according to the number of candidates and the availability of the resources. So if you have appeared in OMR based CUET examination then you will have the question paper of the examination along with you, however if you have applied participated in online CUET test, then you need to wait for the releasing of question paper on the website. Once you collect the question paper you need to find out total number of questions in the question paper and how much you have attempted.
Step 2: Collect the answer key
YouTube platforms and other educational institutions usually release their provisional answer key after immediately conducting the examination by the board. But the authority usually released the answer key after 2 or 3 days of conducting the examination on the website, so you can download it accordingly as a pdf. If you have applied for an online CUET test then you will also able to collect your response sheet where you can see how many questions you have submitted and which question you have marked in the examination.
Step 3: Match your response with answer key
Now you will have two list available including the number of questions which you have attempt and their responses and the second list will be an official PDF of answer key where question wise correct responses will be mentioned. Now you need to take right sign on each correct option which you have marked by matching it from the answer key and mark wrong answer for each unmatched option with the official answer key.
Now you will again have two latest data including number of correct responses and number of incorrect responses.
Step 4: Calculate your marks
Now you have to check your marks by multiplying the number of correct responses to awarded marks for each correct answer. For example, in 2024, every correct answer was awarded 5 marks, and if a candidate mark 50 correct questions then he will get 50×5= 250.
Now you need to calculate your negative marks, usually authority detect one mark for each wrong answer. So how much you mark incorrect answers in the exam will be your negative marks. For example if a student marked 20 incorrect answers then authority will deduct 20×1=20 marks from the overall performance.
Now you have to deduct your negative marks from correct responses marks. In this example, if a candidate achieve 250 marks but also marked 20 incorrect answers, then the final result of CUET 2025 will be 230.
Compare CUET scores with percentile
The CUET score is the total number of marks a candidate earns in the Common University Entrance Test. It is calculated by adding up the marks obtained in each subject the candidate has taken. This score reflects the candidate’s raw performance in the exam and is essential for determining eligibility for admission to various universities.
On the other hand, the CUET percentile indicates how a candidate’s performance compares to that of other test-takers. It shows the percentage of candidates who scored lower than the individual.
For example, if a candidate has a percentile of 90, it means they performed better than 90% of the other candidates. While the CUET score provides a direct measure of performance, the percentile offers a relative ranking, helping to understand a candidate’s standing in a competitive environment.
