Eligibility Requirements
The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible to continue your education at KarolinskaInstitutet in the upcoming semester or to be nearing the end of your studies there.
- Prior to receiving your degree certificate, complete the traineeship.
- Have a contract with a company or organization that requires you to work as a trainee full-time for two to twelve months during the following year’s contract period (1 June to 30 September). The traineeship should take place over an extended period of time in a single location.
- Possess a signed “Learning Agreement” from the business or institution.
- Make sure the traineeship will be acknowledged in the diploma supplement for your KI course of study.
- Complete your training in a nation and location that have been approved by the Erasmus+ program.
- Before the traineeship period starts, submit an application for the scholarship. Scholarships cannot be awarded once the traineeship period is over.
- Observe the guidelines outlined in the contracts that will be drafted and in the Erasmus+ Traineeship application.

Documents required with your application
- The following paperwork must be submitted with your application: a signed and completed “Learning Agreement for Erasmus+ Traineeship,” which serves as confirmation from the company or organization that you have been accepted for the traineeship.
- You, an academic representative from your KI study program (course director for the degree project course if it relates to a degree project, or program director if it relates to a traineeship outside of your regular studies at KI), and the contact person at the receiving organization must all sign your learning agreement.
