USCIS Announced to open the H-1B Visa program registration on 5th February 2025. The application procedure start from 7 March 2025. The H-1B Registration of official notification was released on 5 February 2025 about the new registration of H-1B visa program for the financial year of 2026. However the portal is open for all the prospective petitioners to create their H-1B Registration but will only able to submit the H1B visa application form for their beneficiaries after 7th March 2025.
If the department receives enough applications of unique beneficiaries by 21 March then they will start to send invitations to the unique beneficiaries accordingly, but if the department needs more applications and will accept applications 31 March 2025.

Who can register in H-1B visa program?
The H-1B visa is employer centre where employees are not able to create the registration on the USCIS portal. Only employers for the recruitment department of the company are able to create the registration for H-1B visa program. However they are also able to hire Legal representatives to complete the applications and all the legal activities.
So if the employee is applying itself then they can directly login on the dashboard by using their personal details, but if they are getting help of legal representatives than representatives available to create the registration after 7 March for their clients.
How to apply for H-1B Visa registration
Organisations or companies who are hiring Overseas employees under the H-1B visa program are required to create their registration by following this procedure:
- Create the organisation registration: Firstly the company is required to create the registration of the organisation. However you are already registered on the portal earlier than can directly login using your user id and password. https://my.uscis.gov/ This is the direct link to login in the dashboard
- After that you will see all the important details on the page and have to login on the dashboard accordingly
- After that you will see the H-1B visa program section on the page where you need to create the beneficiary profile on the dashboard
- It will ask personal details of the beneficiaries for unique beneficiary registration.
- After date you need to upload important documents on different forms including Form I-129 H-1B petitions, and Form I-907 requests on the page
- At the end you need to pay the online application fees to submit the application

H-1B visa registration fees 2026
According to the USCIS, the employer is required to pay online application fees of $215 to Create the registration of the employee on the website. You are required to pay $215 each time while adding the new beneficiary for your company.
H-1B Visa Selection procedure
US citizenship and immigration services revised the selection procedure of beneficiaries from 17 January 2025 and also mentioned this feature in the notification of inviting H-1B Registration for session of 2026. Earlier, companies were registering many applications at that first day of the starting the application form to get chances of selection under the lottery program.
But now the department advised to companies to not follow the same procedure as it will not affect on the selection procedure, because the department will now invite beneficiaries according to unique beneficiary data. So now unique beneficiaries will get direct invitation from the department to complete the application accordingly without any lottery system.
So Overseas candidates who are getting job offers from companies in USA are required to remind their employers to enter your details on the USCIS portal from 7 March onwards and you are also required to provide your all the details carefully without any mistake so it will help you to get visa approval instantly for the year of 2026.
