SASSA Grants Payments April 2025

Individuals can apply for the SASSA Grants according to their social and financial conditions where the authority is offering different programs. You can check the following famous SASSA grants which are providing benefits to thousands of the low income citizens frequent:

• Older Persons Grant: This grant is designed to support elderly individuals aged 60 and above. It provides financial assistance to help them meet their basic needs. Individuals are getting R2,190 (ages 60-74), R2,210 (ages 75+). 
• Disability Grant: This grant is intended for individuals who are severely disabled and unable to work. It provides financial support to help them cover the costs of their care and daily living expenses. The amount of disability Grant is released according to the condition of the applicant. however authority is providing maximum amount R 2,190 per month. 
• Child Support Grant: This grant is aimed at supporting families with children. It provides financial assistance to help parents care for their children and meet their basic needs, such as food, clothing, and education. The child support Grant is providers according to the number of children in the family where individuals are getting R530 per child per month. 
• Care Dependency Grant: This grant is for individuals who require full-time care due to a severe disability. It provides financial support to help cover the costs of their care.  R2,190 per month is Released in this program. 
• Grant-in-Aid: This grant is for individuals who are already receiving another social grant but require additional financial support due to a severe disability. It provides extra assistance to help meet their specific needs.
• Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant: This is a temporary grant that was introduced to provide financial assistance to individuals who lost their income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However it can be started again according to the difficult conditions in the country. The department release  R370 per month Grant during the covid 19, however if the authority revise it in 2025 then the amount may also be increased accordingly.

What to do if not receive the SASSA payments?

The authority will soon release April payouts of the SASSA programs in bank account. But if you do not receive the SASSA payment on scheduled date then you need to wait for at least three business days to get your SASSA payment in the account. After that you need to Check the status of your bank account, and if the payment don’t reflect yet, then should immediately contact to the SASSA branch so they will sort out your issue accordingly.

• The amounts are subject to change in April and October every year.
• Candidates that are receiving an Older Persons/Pensioners grant or Disability grant, will receive payment of all their grants linked to their account first, while other grant recipients will be paid 1 or 2 days later.
