The new government in Telangana under the leadership of Congress Party is revising the Welfare programs in the state. Recently the Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy informed to depress that the chief minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy is Launching the Sanna Biyyam scheme from 30 March 2025. It is basically a Fine Rice a program in the state which is an upgrade version of the Rice program in the state which they have called coarse rice (Doddu Biyyam) program. The program will offer 6 kilogram free of cost rice to all each family members of the ration card holder. The scheme will only benefit BPL ( below poverty line ) card holders which are also known as White card holders. So if you have such a ration card or have applied for the ration card then can check your beneficiary status and can get fine rice in the program.

The Telangana Sanna Biyyam Scheme 2025 will only include ration card holders in the state so you are required to check your name in the beneficial list available on the state food security Program website where you can follow the following steps to check your beneficiary status:
- Firstly visit the official website of Telangana PSD. This is the direct link of the website: https://epds.telangana.gov.in/

- Now you will reach the new page where you have to click on the link of the search beneficiary under Reports section.

- After that he will see the new page where you have to select the specific district where you are living and enter your ration card number in the page. If you have applied for first time and do not have ration card number then can also search your name by entering the FSC reference number.
Now you can see the list of the beneficiaries on the screen and will find the family details who are eligible to get the benefits of the ration in Telangana state.
Benefits of Telangana Sanna Biyyam Scheme 2025
- According to the official statement by the Minister, more than 84% people in the state will get the fine rice which is also known as Sanna Biyyam in the free Food Supply program in the state.
- The program will offer 6 kilogram rice to each family member of the ration card holder whose name is available in the ration card.
- Initially, the program will only include individuals who have a BPL card which is also known as White ration card.
- The program will provide the 6 program free rice after 30 March 2025, so all the people who are getting the regular free food from the food supply program in the state can get the 6 kilogram additional rice in the April month ration accordingly.

Improved the food quality
The Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy focused on the fine rice distribution during his announcement about the Sanna Biyyam scheme. He told to the media that, the previously government in the state was not maintaining the food quality to ration card holders, but after their initiative on the main river in the state, to the supply of the pure water will increase food quality and increase the production of the state. As per the estimate 84% people are expected to get the fine rice in the program.
