There are multiple programs running by state and central government to encourage the women empowerment and girl child education. Uttarakhand state is also promoting the girl education through Nanda Gaura Yojana 2024.

Nanda Gaura Yojana is the state sponsored women empowerment program in Uttarakhand which has upgraded by the new government in the state. The program will provide 11000 one time payment at the time of girl child birth and 51000 financial assistance to complete the 12th class.

Eligible parents can submit the application form through online mode where they will get the payment directly in bank account. However in the program is very beneficial for girl children in the state, but it is important to compile all the eligibility criteria, as if you mis any of the eligibility, then you will not get the benefits of the program. 

Eligibility criteria of Nanda Gaura Yojana 

Check the eligibility criteria of Nanda Gaura Yojana in this section which are important to fulfill by parents as well as girl child:

• Only citizens of India who are a permanent resident of Uttarakhand are eligible to apply in Nanda Gaura Yojna. However you the parents belongs to the state, but their child give birth any other state of India then can also apply for the program.
• The program will provide financial assistance to the birth of a girl child only.
• Maximum two girl children in the family will get benefits of the program.
• It is important to enroll in the program within 6 month of the birth of the girl child in the family.
• It is important to take birth in a hospital or Nursing Home in Uttarakhand state or any other state in India to be eligible for getting the benefit of the first phase, but if the child took birth in home then, parents will not able to get financial assistance in this case.
• The annual family income of the parents should be less than 72000.
• As the program is implemented into two phases including the program for birth of a girl child and program for completing 12th class of a girl student. So if you are applying for the second phase of the program then it is important to complete 12th class from any recognized board
• Only unmarried girls will get benefits of the program.

Applicants are required to carry the following documents before submitting the application form as mistake in application form or deficiency in documentation will directly reject your application and will not get benefits accordingly:

1. State domicile certificate
2. Income certificate of the parents
3. Birth certificate of the girl child
4. Certificate from the nursing home or the hospital where the girl taken birth
5. The bank passbook of the parents

7. Aadhar card of the parents
8. 12th Class marksheet and certificate of the girl child
9. Aadhar card of the girl student
10. Certificate by the school –  download from here
11. The copy of family register 
12. Bank passbook of the girl student.

All the above documents are required for getting the benefit of Nanda Gaura Yojana. However if you are applying for Nanda Gaura benefits for birth of girl child can have to collect documents from serial number 1 to 7 and If you are applying for the financial assistant after completing 12th then you should carry all the documents.

• Now you will return the new page where you can see the detailed information of the program and click on the link of apply online for either birth of the girl child all applying after completing 12th class.

• The application page will open on the screen where you need to provide all the detailed information including district and block information, anganbadi details, name of the parents and girl child, bank account details etc
• After that you need to upload all the documents in the sequence

Once you submit your details you should recheck all the information and after that can click on the final submit so will be able to download the Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana application form.
